the inspiration for this post is the movie “A Beautiful Mind” where a wife’s love is tested to the absolute limit by her husband’s mental health. Set in a time where mental health issues where even less tolerated than they are now. We have improved but still have a long way to go as a society. We tend to fear the mentally ill and still have low tolerance for mental health that doesn’t fall within what we decide is “ok” BEAUTIFUL MIND = BEAUTIFUL SOUL

We live in our minds and so if we have a beautiful mind then that in turn equals a beautiful soul ? Right ? so the most beautiful part of us is our soul. This is why keeping our minds healthy is essential to what keeping beauty. Many things can test our patience, our temperament, our character but what about when it comes to testing our love? It tends to be something most of us won’t tolerate much of because we tend to assume that the person is acting out because they don’t love us.

Have you ever looked at the ocean at night and thought how mysterious it looks ? it’s mystery and beauty attract you to look at it , but at the same time you are a little respectful and afraid of what may be lying underneath the waves? We use water to symbolise the emotions is lots of areas. Astrology, tarot, mythology. Water is the essential for life and so is emotion. We fear strong, intense emotion and yet we just can’t live without it. It’s complex, mysterious and yet beautiful. Therefore if something is true in our minds it’s true to us. What’s real in the mind is real as far as the person feeling or thinking it is concerned. Not many are lucky enough to master control over their own mind during their lifetime. Many believe as I do that our soul lives on after death.

MINDFULNESS IS THE KEY TO GOOD MENTAL HEALTH

and is essential for physical health and general well being. If we are mindful of what is going on in our own minds, then we are at least in some level of control over it. We then shape our own path and destiny. We carve a better life path for ourselves, because deep in the unconscious mind is the knowledge of what we can be and what we can achieve? Some brains have physical defects that prevent the person controlling certain parts of their behavior or knowing what is acceptable, right or wrong.

We made the rules, yet some find them difficult to live by. However we still have a long journey ahead of us with a long education in living together and in acceptance.
